Touch Controls
Fast-forwarding out the Edifier X5 True Wireless Stereo earpieces, the X series is RM139 and is one of the upper-range entry-level products. The two things that need to be done are sound and comfort.
The “edifier logo” indicates the touch controls, meaning each bud will wear its logo. The primary control mechanism works fine with a single click to start and a double tap to go to the next song. Sadly, lag is always present and easily noticeable. Consequently, rattling it like a drum might cause it to act oddly (like playing—pausing—playing—pausing, etc.).
On the whole, though, it is a pretty reliable tool. Of course, some other features come to mind, but it’s probably not that vital. The case is one of the most diminutive dimensions among true wireless cases, so it should be enough for room in most wallets, cases, and backpacks.
To go the tracks forward, just double-tap on the left or right side of your earbuds. They will skip to the following way in a forward direction. To return down, triple tap on any of the earphones on the side, and it would skip back. By the way, to call your assistant, press bud, and while you hear a beep, please hold it for 2 seconds. Your media will be paused from that moment, and the assistant will appear. If you are out and about and cannot reduce the volume using your assistant, you can always control the volume using your phone.
Design and Build Quality
Then Edifier released them with a black-gold design, which has been my dream since then. It was the best combination, and I could not imagine other colors I liked. The charging case is even more elegant, the body is mainly plastic, and the build quality is perfect.
I would be glad if the lid’s thickness were slightly increased because it is a bit thin. First, look at the top, which has a gorgeous metal-like texture with circular lines and a raised Edifier logo. There is no USB Type-C charging port in the back, and no charging indicator is present. Other than that, I have no sign indicating the level of charge of the case inside.
The lid lifting is better, and Edifier provides this nice friction lid to hold the cover close to access your earpieces. In this inside case, classy and elegant-looking earphones are lying. I particularly appreciate the X5’s design and how the gloss black plastic and the round metal-like circular plate with the Edifier logo together give off the best look.
One of the sensor surfaces is LED light, which does not light up during music playtime. Hence, the Edifier X5 flipped to the back offers an adorable, curvy shape that fits snuggly and nicely in my ears. The buds are the usual in-ear ones. They match my ears perfectly, and I tried on the buds without problems.
Sound Quality
The sound quality of the Edifier X5 is fantastic, and it seems the same as that of Edifier X2 and Edifier X3. While still a bit easier and fuller, I appreciate Edifier’s configuring.
