The TaoTronics SoundLiberty Pro P10 is a budget-friendly pair of TWS earbuds that currently cost just under $50. They provide some remarkable technologies previously available only on the pricier gadgets. The primary technology is ANC, and I am amazed by how this complex feature is introduced into entry-level models at even lower prices for flagship models like the Nothing Ear 2.
After using the Pro P10 earbuds for around fifteen days, I found that they have decent Active Noise Cancellation, comparable to the best entry-level ANC earbuds like the Coumi Freedom dots. These buds contain three microphones, so you can confidently make a personal or meeting call with remarkable quality. They also have an automatic ear-detection feature that worked fine during my test.
The claimed playtime of earpieces is 9.5 hours of non-stop music on a single charge, and the charging case offers 23.5 hours. However, they can last for a total of 33 hours of playback. For its price range, the Pro P10 boasts an impressive battery life. With Active Noise Cancellation, the total playtime will be around 24 hours, more than enough for a busy routine.
I still use my OnePlus Buds Pro 2 for general use cases because I enjoy the ear hooks you don’t usually find in most TWS earbuds. I am also using Sony WF-1000XM5 Buds, which let me play games with my teammates and listen to my favorite music in good quality. According to TaoTronics, Pro P10 can exclude external noise by up to 38 decibels.
The additional features like Ambient Mode and Anti-Wind Mode make it prominent against its rivals with the same price range. Because of these outstanding features and offerings, consider them as your next purchase.

Build Quality and Design
When I took the TaoTronics SoundLiberty Pro P10 earbuds out of the charging case, I saw that they looked much like Coumi Freedom Dots, which in turn were inspired by the Apple AirPods Pro. The best thing is that even if this shape may be a bit unusual in form, the Pro P10 fit well into my ears, and I never felt any discomfort wearing them for 4-5 hours. As we see on the AirPods, some stems are the trending design in the industry.
Using regular-sized ear tips, they work much better in terms of audio quality and noise cancellation. These earbuds feature a plastic body almost completely covered with a black matte finish; however, the outer part is also glossy. Every bud has dimensions of 1.37 x 0.98 x 0.78 inches (3.5 x 2.5 x 2 cm), which is relatively small for a design that follows in the footsteps of a classic earbud model.
They are very light in weight, and the passive noise cancellation is decent but won’t shield you from louder noises. This ensures that they are simple to wear. As TaoTronics chose not to use a physical button but instead relied on a touch-sensitive area, operating them would not irritate the ear canal.
Tapping on the right earbud will play or stop the current track. Tapping once on it increases the volume, while a light tap on the left bud decreases the volume. Moving to the next track requires three taps on the right earbud, and returning to the previous one requires three taps on the left bud. In addition to the standby style, P10 provides an Ambient mode; you must tap twice on the left earbud to turn it on.
Internal Hardware and Connectivity
The TaoTronics SoundLiberty Pro P10 comes with 9mm drivers that have PU and PEEK composite diaphragms. Roughly, they are around the average size for a pair of truly wireless earbuds. I saw the largest ones on the Coumi Freedom Dots, which had 12.5 mm dynamic drivers. The fact is that the size of a driver does not guarantee better sound quality because it’s the fine-tuning factor that will make all the difference, but a larger one could still provide better volume and, in some cases, a fuller sound.
They use Bluetooth 5.2, which brings some improvements over the previous generations, including higher bandwidth. However, it is not very helpful for wireless earbuds that do not support the best codecs and better multipoint connectivity (which the Pro P10 does not employ). The coverage is the same as for the last three to four generations down to Bluetooth 4.2, so the audio signal will fluctuate after 30 feet.
To pair them with my Android phone, I switch off the mobile device’s Bluetooth, remove the earbuds from their charging case, and search for their name in the Bluetooth list. There is no support for aptX, and things are the same on an iPhone. Only the pairing requires a couple more steps to see TaoTronics earbuds. You must go into Bluetooth Settings and wait until other devices detect it.
Sound Quality
The general sound quality of the TaoTronics SoundLiberty Pro P10 is very good enough for almost all types of music, with a focus on the bass, low bass in particular. Before listening to some actual music, I ran several more technical tests. At first, I examined the driver quality by playing different music tracks. In particular, there is a notable quality that was as clear as possible without any noise, and it worked perfectly. But some slight buzz could be felt in the background. The second test determined the driver matching, and my earbuds passed it since I could feel the tone in my head’s center.
I verified the 3D sound stage because this is where many cheaper TWS earbuds fail, so I played an audio file made using binaural microphones. By doing so, I could determine whether the earbuds could present the actual sound accurately when there is a discernible instrument differentiation among others. TaoTronics certainly did an excellent job, as I could pinpoint where the singers and instruments were. Yes, there was also a good instrument differentiation.
I must admit that the focus on the instrument and voice separation is far more than what can be found in most of the TWS earbuds, which surprised me with how different some of the songs from my library sounded. These earphones will probably say much better than your lower or mid-range earbuds and give you a better listening experience. They also possess a mono-mode, in which one earbud is still functional when removed from the case. This is different from how the ANC usually operates.
Active Noise Cancellation
TaoTronics SoundLiberty P10 Pro ANC works just as well, blocking low-frequency sounds, such as plane engines, up to a certain point. However, they are better than the Sony WF-1000XM3, which costs several times more. It allows disabling ANC, and there is also an Ambient mode and Anti-Wind mode. Generally, most other earbuds depend on the active mode. When the ANC was turned on, I tried out a few sounds with high and low bass, which was great.
This hissing doesn’t automatically mean that the Active Noise Cancellation is quiet if no music is playing. The mid and the higher bass were very friendly and relatively bright. The mids and the treble were correct, with a clean sound and a good instrument separation. However, the sound of the music was detached, and a fascinating fact is that with ANC on, some songs focused on treble acquire a slightly muddy character that may be useful for rock songs.
Disabling the ANC did not seriously affect the quality of the sound, but I could feel some minor changes. The sounds became more precise and accurate, but it took away from the fullness it managed with ANC enabled. This brings us to another important point I still need to mention: the volume level. These earpieces can become really, very loud, obnoxiously so. I could listen to the music with ANC on, at the most, up to 50-55 percent quietly.
Ambient Mode and Anti-wind Mode
In TaoTronics SoundLiberty Pro P10, the Ambient Mode becomes a subtle companion and offers an unusual hearing experience. This technology increases the ambient sounds picked up by the earbuds’ microphones, which is very beneficial in several instances. However, I prefer the simplicity of simply removing my earbuds and engaging in my environment. The automatic stoppage of music is a convenient feature.
The Ambient Mode is beneficial in some specific conditions, for instance, when a person walks or cycles around the town. For example, the better hearing of the approaching traffic while riding a bicycle provides safety. However, it is significant to note that the ANC may not be as effective as the leaders in this field, such as Sony or Bose. However, this slight exemption creates a heightened sense of consciousness for the surrounding sounds, suggesting a good balance between immersion and environmental awareness.
The Anti-wind Mode is among the best and often-overlooked features in TaoTronics SoundLiberty Pro P10. During windy situations, the ANC may portray some odd features as an offensive puffing sound. In short, the Ambient Mode is an excellent example of the brand’s careful consideration. It perfectly harmonizes functionality and user experience for users who can easily navigate this acoustic scenery in a business center or nature.
Playtime and Charging
With a single charge, the P10 Pro earbuds can provide up to 9.5 hours of playback and an additional 23.5 hours with the charging case. Their playtime is much better than TaoTronics SoundLiberty 53, which offers only five hours on a single charge. Still, that is valid if ANC is disabled; otherwise, they can last up to 6.5 hours on one charge and another 17.5 hours from the case. Fortunately, they show a battery bar or percentage when attached to an Android phone or Windows PC, which makes it very easy to monitor the life of their batteries.
These earbuds have an internal vocal interface that lets you know if they are paired and connected or when the battery is low. Fortunately, because the case is very reticent about reporting the residual charge on its own, its single tiny LED lights up when opening it: white to indicate that the earbuds are fully charged and red if not. It also turns red or white once the lid is clicked back in, with the latter signaling that it is time to charge the case.
The earphones take about 70 minutes until the light turns off at 100%. The tiny LED light could be brighter, especially during the day. Ensuring the case is charging without shading it for the light to appear can be challenging. These accessories are a significant step away from those who typically use earphones or headphones, as you must always have your case. Submitting them to the jeans test, it turned out that they can form quite a pocket bulge, especially for this ordinary skinny pair. However, I was thrilled that they would fit without any hitch. That is likely due to its very curved sides.
Waterproof Rating
The Soundliberty P10 PRO is fully waterproof with an IPX8 rating to resist water and moisture at a high level. Dropping them to a water depth of up to 10ft (3 meters) for 30 minutes should not be an issue. These earphones can survive these conditions without compromising their performance.
Although you cannot use them for swimming (Bluetooth doesn’t work underwater), at least you can wash them in a tap after working out. Even though they are less expensive, the housing of the earbuds feels pretty cheap and can hold a couple of drops. In addition, the charging case is more solid than that of the Sony WF-1000XM4, which costs $69.
The charging case is smooth, but the finish can be easily scratched. It never fell out of my pocket, and it was usually in the same place, along with no sharp objects inside that already had traces. These earbuds have a high water-resistance rating of IPX8. This is the best rating and needs to be tailored for the testing.
Consequently, we cannot specify the water-resistant properties of the Pro P10 buds. However, we can confidently state that they meet the IPX8 standard. They should be able to operate below a depth of one meter for over thirty minutes. Thus, you’re dealing with the waterproof earbuds. You may apply them when showering, running in the rain, or sweating.
